ARDP was incorporated on March 5, 2009 in India to produce and sell world-class tissue culture raised date palms so as to green the deserts of India and the world.

About Us

Atul Rajasthan Date Palms Ltd (ARDP) is engaged in the production and marketing of tissue culture raised date palms with an aim to improve the ecology and economy of the arid regions of India. The facilities of the Company located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, are the first and the largest of its kind in India.

ARDP was promoted by Atul Ltd in cooperation with Rajasthan Horticulture Development Society (Government of Rajasthan) based on Public Private Partnership model.

With the formation of ARDP, it is felt that India which happens to be the largest importer of dates in the world will become self sufficient in its requirements and also an exporter of world-class date palms across the world.

ARDP is deploying state-of-the-art technology to manufacture tissue culture raised date palms obtained by Atul from Date Palm Research and Development Centre of United Arab Emirates University (UAEU).

A historic Agreement was signed by Mr Sunil Lalbhai and Dr Abdullah Al Khanbashi on behalf of Atul and UAEU on October 22, 2008 in presence of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister for Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE and Mr Talmiz Ahmad, Ambassador of India to the UAE. In a way, the endeavour of ARDP of greening the deserts, is not only a collaboration between the Government and a private sector company, but also a symbol of cooperation between two countries.
